Abbeymead Rovers Football Club was formed in 1997 by a group of local parents who had been coaching their children at King George V playing fields as Hucclecote. They broke away, trained at Lobleys Drive and formed Abbeymead Rovers
The age groups at this time consisted of U7, U8 and U9 with about 80 members.
1999 - First tournament was hosted.
2001 - Whole club presentation.
2004 - Senior men's Saturday football established with 2 teams.
2004 - Girls football.
2004 - FA Charter Standard Club status achieved.
2008 - Ladies football.
2008 - Community football.
2009 - FA Charter Mark Community Club status achieved.
2014 - Men's 3rd team.
2014 - Won the GFA community club of the year.
2015 - Senior men's Sunday team.
2015 - Walking football.
2016 - Super veterans.
2016 - Pre-school under 5's group
2017 - FA Mars 'Just Play' national walking football centre of the year.
